About Giclée Printing
Giclée , a French word means a spray of liquid. Modern printers are capable of producing incredibly detailed prints for both photography and fine art. High resolution digital images are printed with archival quality pigmented inks onto various surfaces. The giclee process provides extraordinary better color accuracy than previous means of reproduction. Expectations for fade & color shift resistance are about 100 years on watercolor paper under average indoor light conditions. Archivists anticipate this span will be enhanced by evolving maintenance technologies. Works can be reproduced to a variety of size and media, with the tremendous advantage of being able to reproduce art on demand.
Popular Edition
The “Popular Edition” offers the same high quality of image. It is printed on paper rather than canvas, and
where signature and number of print would be on the “Limited Edition” there is printed “Popular Edition.”
The Limited Edition is best for the investor, or collector. For the cost conscious art lover who just wants to
enjoy the picture, the Popular Edition is an excellent choice.
