Megafile Picture

Multi-Tracking
As a musician, I have used multi-track recording and mixing for over 40 years. When it all went digital, the idea of using audio studio techniques in building a picture seemed obvious. The concept came into it's own while working on the interdisciplinary work Poetry Café. Because the whole idea of Poetry Café was a convergence of medium and language, the picture series Guitar Player came to a synthesis in the mega-file picture. This picture is called a mega-file because it is a single still picture approximately 1.5 GB. As a result of the layering of details and sub-image information the file became huge.
