Using art to reach a deep meditation is an ancient practice.

What is chakra meditation?
Many practices include the chakra meditation principals. They include relaxation, spiritual awakening and healing. The goal is to form a foundation for improved health. A major component is reduction of stress and encouraging personal transformation. Focus and a balance of energy is the core of these meditations. Wellness by alignment of natural physical, mental, and emotional properties allow for spiritual unity. A perception of balance and self form the cornerstone of Chakra awareness.



The 7 Chakras:

The Root Chakra (Muladhara)
Muladhara in Sanskrit, is located at the base of the spine. It governs the way we connect to the world. It is also associated with stability, food and shelter. It's color is red and the element earth.

The Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)
Svadhisthana, the sacral chakra, is located below the navel. It is linked to our sexuality and creativity. Its energy encourages us to explore and adapt to change. Its color is orange and its element is water.

The Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
Manipura means City of Jewels. This chakra is located between the rib cage and the navel. A source of self-esteem in that it translates our desires into action. It also helps regulate digestion. Its color is yellow. It is associated with the fire element.

The Heart Chakra (Anahata)
Anahata, means “unstuck”. This chakra lies at the middle of your cardiovascular system and organs. It is associated with a person’s emotional state and attributes such as generosity, compassion and connectedness. It's color is green and its element is air.

The Throat Chakra (Anahata)
Vishuddha, governs the neck, mouth, tongue and throat. It regulates communication, Confidence and understanding. Its color is blue and its element is ether.

The Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)
Ajna is located in forehead, at the “third eye”. It governs intuition, insight, and spiritual awareness. It empowers us to see beyond our world. Its color is indigo and its element is light.

The Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
Sahasrara, is located at the top of the head. The “thousand petal lotus” chakra, governs spiritual consciousness and the awakening to all being or the divine. Its color is purple (or white) and it embodies the spirit.
