Perceptions Of Time

Perceptions of time became a consolidated issue in my early teenage years. Having read Einstine, P. D. Ospinkki, accounts from artists and shaman on extatic transe and hypnogogic time distortions, it was clear that simplistic notions about time, matter, perceptions, and the universe were incomplete.

For several decades I have been putting forward that human beings are in an evolutionary paradime shift from the concept of a connected line to the concept of connected spheres. The gigantic hurddle of complexity, aparent chaos, and intersecting fieldforms make the new vision, ungraspable in early stages of contemplation. Therefore "Spherical Thinking" is first experienced as intuitave suposition of greater form.

"THERE exist moments in life, separated by long intervals of time, but linked together by their inner content and by a certain singular sensation peculiar to them. Several such moments always recur to my mind together, and I feel then that it is these that have determined the chief trend of my life. " - P. D. OUSPENSKY, A NEW MODEL of the UNIVERSE

Time is actually relative, and flexible and, according to Albert Einstein, "the dividing line between past, present, and future is an illusion". in the video Prof. Brian Greene explains this concept.

The installation "Big Picture" below, is a representation of time in progression of a selection of parts created from 1965-2008.

The combined sections of time separated points of view, are usually interpreted as points in a (Time Line). If we consider them as part of a (time sphere), then a concept of total being may be considered rather than an endless march to infinity. The spherical model contains spheres within spheres as replication and movement describe time-space. The actual shape is a spheroid as a wobble is effected by movement. Additional wobbles are effected by additional forces and a media of spiral orbital spheroids comprise the totality.

A work of art may be completed to a state where it can be described as having arrived. That is to say it has enough density, unique organizational structure and gravitas, that it functions as a metaphorical model of being. We may for the sake of our model describe consciousness as a metaphorical totality working in duality with individual identity and all-ness. The definition of individual perception is vital to negotiating the complex systems connecting oneness to all-ness via spherical thinking. When the sage says, "life is a circle", that is a simplistic reduction to a workable starting point for the student.
